its ability to fine slice a known crystallization
space is remarkable. We personally do not have this
machine.I only have used it when it came for a demo.
In that time the use of some known membrane protein crystallization
space without even much careful experimentation resulted in hits.
We have an older version in which i personally spend a ton of
effort. The new plug maker is definitley much better compared to
older version for its easiness of use.
Is it the answer to getting crystals vs not getting
crystals. Nope. So it gives you an option to try a different
method and sometime it helps.

Hi,
I am looking for feedback from those who have used the Emerald Plugmaker instrument, especially if in your experience the translation of initial crystallization hits to diffracting crystals was as straightforward as claimed by Emerald. Any other thoughts and comments are also welcome.
Thanks,
Michael
