Last beamtime on BM14 before ESRF Upgrade shutdown period

            Dear all,

the period November - December 2011 is opened for beamtime e-proposal requests

at the BM14 MAD MX Beamline (ESRF, Grenoble, France) .

This is the last period time before the ESRF Upgrade winter shutdown

[Dec-5th 2011 -- April 30th 2012 ].

Thank you to submit your proposal on-line http://www.bm14.eu  ("Apply for Beamtime").

We provide travel and subsistence funding to EU-member and EU-associated state users[1].


Beamline features:

-          Easily tuneable energy over 7 to 17 keV

-          MarMosaic 225 CCD detector

-          MD2 Microdiffractometer with mini-Kappa goniometer head

-          Robotic Sample changer (SPINE standard sample holders are mandatory)

-          Very low resolution beamstop: permits diffraction to be recorded down to 300 Å

-          Crystal Humidity Control Device (HC1) as a tool for improving diffraction quality

       (Upon request: http://www.embl-grenoble.fr/groups/instr/humidifier_page1.html).

-          Remote data collection.

-           Opitcs hutch will be fully refurbished at that time.
