1. Position
Job description
A postdoctoral position is available from 01.01.2012-31.12.2013. The successful candidate will focus on the identification of interaction partners of the histone demethylase PLU-1 and on structural studies of stable PLU-1 complexes involved in gene regulation. The project will be conducted within the framework of the University of Copenhagen Programme of Excellence on Epigenetics, a programme involving research groups at the Biotech Research and Innovation Centre (BRIC) and the Department of Medicinal Chemistry. Experience with recombinant protein expression, protein purification and biochemical characterisation of mammalian intracellular proteins will be an advantage. Interest in the application of scattering methods such as X-ray Crystallography and Small Angle X-ray Scattering (SAXS) is also required, but no prior experience with these techniques is necessary.
Terms of employment
Terms of appointment and payment are in accordance with the agreement between the Danish Ministry of Finance and the Danish Federation of Professional Associations.

The project will be conducted within the framework of the University of Copenhagen Programme of Excellence on Epigenetics, a programme involving research groups at the Biotech Research and Innovation Centre (BRIC) and the Department of Medicinal Chemistry. Experience with recombinant protein expression, protein purification and biochemical characterisation of mammalian intracellular proteins will be an advantage.
